I can’t say enough good things about Erinn and the entire team. When my brother passed away, we wanted to honor his wishes to be cremated. From the moment I called the funeral home, I felt confident they would handle everything. Erinn provided all the information we needed and guided us through the entire process. He went above and beyond by helping me find a keepsake urn for one side of the family. Losing a loved one is never easy, but they made it so we didn’t have to worry about a thing and accommodated all of our requests. They kept us updated every step of the way, from picking up my brother at the hospital to delivering his remains.

When I met with Lowell MacDonald to make arrangements for my mother to be laid to rest in our home town in Pennsylvania, he thought the corporate owned PA cemetery charges, which he explained are based on commission, were unusually high. He encouraged me to contact a family owned funeral home in PA which I did, and that advice saved my family over $2,300. Thank you for this personal service and looking out for my family Lowell during this difficult time!

From the moment that we stepped in The funeral Director, who took care of us was an amazing person, her concern and thoughts for us and for our dear Natividad Diaz mom was her main priority. She went above and beyond the call of her duties. I’ve never seen anyone take on such responsibilities like she did also I want to add Sandy she was fantastic. She also went out of her way to show such compassion for us. She hold our hands hugged us, cried with us. I’ve never seen such compassion and love. They are wonderful. They work things out so well that I know that Mom would be so happy no wonder she picked your place. She knew in her heart that you all would take care of her and her family. This has been just an awful ordeal and there's no right place to begin. I have called and been told the person I need to speak to isn't there and that I would get a call back. That never came. I e-mailed and got no response. As the person listed to make arrangements for my deceased relative, I was NOT contacted! She has specifically chosen me to be in charge of services as her mentally ill son could not be trusted. After coming down with covid and having to isolate, friends and family were kept out of the loop completely. It was not until a GOOGLE search that we discovered my grandmother had not only passed but that her service had come and gone with MacDonald. Can you imagine how horrific it is learn your last grandparent, whom you are close to, has died and you did not get to give her the service she desired? It was only then that I and a friend had to notify everyone that the service was done without any knowledge and my poor grandmother didn't have family and friends at her graveside. This has been awful and there has been no closure for her family and friends.

Lowell and staff at MacDonald Funeral Home handled my mother's remains and helped with the funeral arrangements at Florida National Cemetary. My family and I have been involved in the arrangements of other funerals in Tampa and Orlando, most notably my father in Tampa. MacDonald though a humble family operation (they are always better) blows away all the other funeral homes in Tampa and Orlando combined. They are respectful, first class and Lowell handled things that my sister and i had to handle for my father's funeral (the military aspect) that I just couldnt seem to do this time around. Thanks Lowell and Staff. It is very important to have caring people at that moment in time. You can count on MacDonald!

My 29 year-old son unexpectedly lost his battle with muscular dystrophy and March. I did not have any arrangements made so a friend from out of state made calls to all the facilities in the area in an effort to locate the best one for me. After making numerous calls and talking about it she said that MacDonald seemed to have the best price for what I was looking for - which was just straight cremation with no services, per my son's wishes - as well as the best customer service. Despite living in Pasco County and there being many facilities closer, I made the choice to go there and I was absolutely not disappointed with my decision! I cannot say enough positive things about McDonald and most especially Ron. He handled everything from beginning to end with kindness, compassion and patience. I would highly recommend MacDonald to anyone in the Tampa Bay area in need of funeral or creamation services.

It has been 6 years since I lost my 8 yr old daughter. However, I still felt the need to leave a review when I came across this pin in my history on maps. The reason is because the people here are absolutely amazing! The all around kindness was evident. Even though no one ever wants to need a funeral home the fact is we do and I couldn't have been more pleased with a place at the time of the absolute worst moments of my life thus far than I was with McDonald's Funeral home. They even brought me my daughters ashes in a temporary container until the urn was ready because they could sense I was distraught by the possible wait of a day or 2. Again, VERY AMAZING AND KIND. I can't say enough about the compassion and professionalism our family was given at MacDonald Funeral Home upon my wife's passing on July 3rd. Owner Lowell and Funeral Director Advisor Ron had to quickly make arrangements happen with their funeral home for a visitation, the church for a mass and the memorial location for burial services. in a very short window of three days, being everything is closed on the 4th, they completely took care of all arrangements for us. This greatly put our minds at ease during a very difficult time for our family. They are a small family owned funeral home, not owned by a large corporation, and you can definitely feel the personal warmth from everyone at MacDonald Funeral Home. Coming from a small town in NY which had these type of funeral homes back in the day, it was refreshing to find that such a place still exists. If you find yourself having to make funeral arrangements for a loved one, I highly recommend you consider the above and beyond compassionate services of MacDonald Funeral Home.

MacDonald's recently helped us say farewell to my mother. I started working with Lowell and his team back in January. As time passed and the end neared, Lowell and Ron were patient, understanding and absolutely wonderful. Their facility is cozy and puts you at ease; you feel like you are home. The team did an amazing job capturing Mom's essence and our visitation pleasant. They are prompt, courteous and most of all, offer services that are affordable.
