When I met with Lowell MacDonald to make arrangements for my mother to be laid to rest in our home town in Pennsylvania, he thought the corporate owned PA cemetery charges, which he explained are based on commission, were unusually high. He encouraged me to contact a family owned funeral home in PA which I did, and that advice saved my family over $2,300. From the moment that we stepped in The funeral Director, who took care of us was an amazing person, her concern and thoughts for us and for our dear Natividad Diaz mom was her main priority. She went above and beyond the call of her duties. I’ve never seen anyone take on such responsibilities like she did also I want to add Sandy she was fantastic. This has been just an awful ordeal and there's no right place to begin. I have called and been told the person I need to speak to isn't there and that I would get a call back. That never came. I e-mailed and got no response. As the person listed to make arrangements for my deceased relative, I was NOT contacted! She has specifically chosen me to be in charge of services as her mentally ill son could not be trusted. After coming down with covid and having to isolate, friends and family were kept out of the loop completely. It was not until a GOOGLE search that we discovered my grandmother had not only passed but that her service had come and gone with MacDonald. Can you imagine how horrific it is learn your last grandparent, whom you are close to, has died and you did not get to give her the service she desired? It was only then that I and a friend had to notify everyone that the service was done without any knowledge and my poor grandmother didn't have family and friends at her graveside. This has been awful and there has been no closure for her family and friends.

My family and I have been involved in the arrangements of other funerals in Tampa and Orlando, most notably my father in Tampa. I can't say enough about the compassion and professionalism our family was given at MacDonald Funeral Home upon my wife's passing on July 3rd. Owner Lowell and Funeral Director Advisor Ron had to quickly make arrangements happen with their funeral home for a visitation, the church for a mass and the memorial location for burial services. in a very short window of three days, being everything is closed on the 4th, they completely took care of all arrangements for us. This greatly put our minds at ease during a very difficult time for our family. They are a small family owned funeral home, not owned by a large corporation, and you can definitely feel the personal warmth from everyone at MacDonald Funeral Home. Coming from a small town in NY which had these type of funeral homes back in the day, it was refreshing to find that such a place still exists. MacDonald's recently helped us say farewell to my mother. I started working with Lowell and his team back in January. As time passed and the end neared, Lowell and Ron were patient, understanding and absolutely wonderful. Their facility is cozy and puts you at ease; you feel like you are home.
